Bidrage med feedbackWhat a fantastic little place to eat! we had heard that the “locals” go here, so we wanted to try it out. the word of the mouth lives up to the hype eating was amazing, personal owner was funny and friendly .and the eating came fast and was fresh and hot! genuine high-quality speck and amazing egg! we had only breakfast, but we will certainly get back! coffee, hot chocolate, orange juice and two escapes was $40 with tax and tipp and this is quite amazing for a tourist art city. Look at them that you won't be disappointed, tell them that cottage 18 has sent you! They won't know what that means, but they'll say it anyway...
Dagwoods Diner is a great place to eat. We stopped for breakfast and the place is very clean. You get a real sense of pride in the way the place is looked after. The food was great and good size proportions, People came in for... 'take-outs ' as we ate and it was clear that it 's a regular for locals and they all knew the guy who was serving.
The breakfast is simple yet delicious, the restaurant is very clean and follows strict COVID precautions. It is always bustling with locals, despite being a bit removed from the harbor area. I would definitely return again.
We visited Dagwoods for lunch today and had ourselves great lunches. my partner had the halibut fish chips, while I had the seafood chowder and the Blondieburger. We found the food and its preparation was top-notch. The service was impeccable, and the owners used...the Pandemic down-time to do some attractive renovations. It's a unique spot on a unique island.
Other reviews refer to this place as diner, but it is not, really, as it has only one standing and has no counter. but it serves diner art eating, with large portions at a reasonable price. it is in a tiny strip shopping center on a busy street/car track, with a good chance to find parking on the property. sits about 40, with a chef and two server when we were there. no tables for five, but two were joined together in about one minute, and menus came immediately, followed in a minute by request for drink order. Drinks (two water, two coffees, one apple wine) soon came after, and we ordered. the place was busy 25 customers and we had a little waiting. coffee and water replenishments were frequently offered, accompanied by a smile. very clean, tables not overfilled, cool enough that diner jacken or pullover wore (it was a very cold day.) eating came on large plates, and they were needed large portions. I had a mushroom burger, with Swiss cheese on an imperial, excellent. other male had a veggie burger that he rated excellent. my wife is still looking for the perfect calamari (she eats it from coast to coast in the Usa and Canada) and said that her serve is in the top three or four. other women had an omelette and a chowder, both first class. the total bill was $100, a bargain in these times.
