Bidrage med feedbackWe were hoping to eat here for lunch as we saw the big reviews, but unfortunately, when we arrived, we saw that it suffered a fire. Such a shame, we were so excited to taste the fresh seafood. Hopefully it will be back soon.
This beautiful outdoor restaurant has shells that are cooked with pine needles that give them a unique taste. The fire is so hot that parts of the shell almost disintegrate, but the shell itself is not burned, but left intact and juicy. The...cooking process nearby is also an experience. This dish in itself makes a visit to the restaurant worthwhile and should be the main feature of every meal there (although oysters are also delicious as white wine selection). Note: It can be crucified. And as far as we could see or hear, we were the only diners who had English as a native language.
Excellent price quality. Fresh oysters, langoustines, hot oven oysters, house speciality eclade de moules. Need to be booked in advance, or come just @12 for lunch. Less than 50euro/couple, depending on how much you love their products and the wine :
This is surely one of the best place where to eat in l'Ile d'Oléron, and I go there every year! You will be close to the canal in a peaceful environment, served by a nice family and the food will be amazing. Honnestly this is...not to be missed!! But ensure to book :
