Bidrage med feedbackWe stopped by at the end of a walk and arrived at 10am just as the restaurant opened for breakfast. We were greeted warmly and found a table by a cozy open fire. The breakfast menu was impressive, and I decided on the full English breakfast with a cup of coffee. I was very satisfied with the quality of the food, which was cooked with high-quality ingredients. Even the toast, made with ciabatta, was a nice touch. The coffee was also good. My two companions and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal and plan to return soon. The only downside was having to resist the temptation of ordering a few pints of Guinness. The wait for our food was a bit long, but we were the first customers of the day, so it was understandable. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Located at the end of a peaceful street in downtown Whitworth, this charming rural pub offers outdoor seating. The menu is good and reasonably priced, with friendly staff. The only downside was that the food was not served very hot.
The friendly staff provided great service at this restaurant. The food was excellent and portion sizes were generous. The real ale was well maintained. Considering the current economic situation, I found the prices to be very reasonable.
Lovely pub and atmosphere. Beer first class.Staff very good and helpful. We both had the urge for a stodgy lunch ie lion burger my wife had the small I had the large . Very tasty with the flavours chips, however the price difference of £6 between large and small for an additional beef patty on the burger was ridiculous and tainted what was a nice experience. My advice if you want large order 2 small burgers.
It is a quaint pub with a village atmosphere the staff behind the bar are very friendly, the beers and drinks are good.
