Bidrage med feedbackDuring our 11-day stay in Rome, we tried to always make an afternoon stop at Cafe du Parc. We always ordered gelato and/or granite. Both were very good and served promptly and courteously. The granite was made by the shop owners. It is mesmerizing to sit at a table outside Cafe du Parc and watch the traffic navigate the traffic circle in front of Piramide, Porta Di San Paulo, and the non-Catholic Cemetery.
It is located in Piazza di Porta San Paolo, near the Pyramid. The Cafè du Parc is a historic kiosk bar, dating back to 1960, positioned in a lovely corner of Rome, a stone 's throw from the A and B 'Piramide ' metro stations. It is close to some of the most iconic places in the history of the city: Circus Maximus, the Testaccio and Trastevere districts and the Pyramid of Caius Cestius. We stopped to have breakfast Excellent cappucino and croissant. It also offers aperitifs, any kind of drink, but also homemade ice creams and fruit slushes and the famous coffee with 'la crema '. The staff are very friendly and the prices are fair. Recommended.
Located on Piazza di Porta San Paolo with view to the pyramid and serves delicious icecreams or good cold drinks or a coffee and it's nice on her outside terrace.
I was in Rome for 5 nights and I stopped at Café du Parc just about every day. I mostly got something to snack on. They called it pizza, but it looked more like a sandwich to me. Whatever you call it, it was delicious. I also had my first Italian café there and I was surprised how much I liked it since I basically hate coffee. By far, the most amazing thing I had at CdP was the sorbet. They had so many flavors to choose from, but fortunately for me, with the standard size cup I got to choose three. I had forest berries, pineapple, and blackberry. Holy Moley! I had to take my time eating because it would have disappeared in seconds otherwise. I have never tasted sorbet so good, and they make it right there in the café. In addition to having good food, the staff was very friendly. In all honesty, they were probably the friendliest place I visited in Rome.
Nothing more than a tiny kiosk near the Pyramid, with a small bar, but the gelato is excellent. They used to have outdoor seating running up a narrow strip of the nearby park, but that has disappeared and now it's simply a stand-up ice cream and coffee bar. Can't complain about the prices though... very reasonable!
