Bidrage med feedbackI hope this was an off night for this place, but since it was a Saturday at 7, it shouldn't have been. When you go out for sushi you extend some trust and take a health risk. Friends recommended this place from years back, but it must have changed. Sushi was not fresh. Salmon and tuna were pale and dry. The real wasabi was mixed with horseradish paste. Service was lackluster. Music was sing-songy awful. Our food took an hour to arrive due to a mistake they made and we were not compensated. Miso, gomae, and Karage were low in flavor and below average execution for a Japanese restaurant. The Happy Spoon was pretty good and the patio is well-heated. You may want to go for just the cheesecake soufflé dessert.

I've only been here 1 time but realized that this is probably the Best Sushi in California and certainly in the area. The $100. I spent on lunch was steep but the food you couldn't match. It was delicious. I still think fondly about that lunch. I bought a shirt too. I think the owner teaches the art of sushi creation or something but if you are near this area, I recommend you go try this place. Arigato Hana.
Food and service was great, returning next time I am in town. I had a bento box that was a nice sampling of the offerings, next time I will pick my favorite.
