California Tortilla - Rockville

This is a good restaurant. The food is amazing and they always make it really quickly. The restaurant is usually empty though but feels nice. I just have a complaint about my most recent visit. So I asked for the classic burrito with no meat or salsa, and when I got it, it only had beans and cheese, nothing else. So I told the woman she got my order wrong, and she had such an attitude and didn’t understand and talked about something about not wanting stuff when I was saying she didn’t put stuff in. Then she asked the other woman making the food if she put the stuff in and she said no. Then when I asked what I should do with the bean and cheese burrito she said “give me that” with an attitude. They made it the second time correctly but it was so annoying when they got this other guys order wrong and the woman was soooooo nice to him whereas she seemed annoyed and he an attitude with me. But don’t get me wrong, thsis is still a very good option if you are near Rockville town center. : UPDATE: Everyone, I’ve just heard very sad news that California Tortilla is closing permanently and it makes me so sad!!! I’m changing my review to 5 stars because I’m so sad it’s closing, I’ve been coming here for 7 years and now I don’t know where I’ll eat if I’m in Rockville town center because literally almost every good restaurant there is closing :’

Man working here 12/29/23 EXTREMELY disrespectful. very unnattentive took minutes to get service and then i asked for a side of sour cream because they forgot to put it in the burrito and it was part of the order. he made me get out of my seat to pay 50 cents for sour cream that the lady had already given me. VERY DISRESPECTFUL MAN. would not give me his name

I went to this place before and it was ok but now… Hah! The service was rude it almost half an hour to get my food and to top it all off the terrible cashier unfairly over charged for what looked like came out of the trash. The only highlight (mainly because they knew they were wrong) was the cashier’s coworker getting me a free burrito to make up for the poor service. Never come here unless you cheap food and service.

Oct 4,I asked patricia to stop leaving trash in the sinks because it gets clog she didn 't care so "javier "the so call manager screamed at me to get out he tired of me because im not his friend,like the others he defends he practice "favoritism "which is against the law ,he harrased me for everything,he act picky with me but not with patricia or sandy his 2 friends that get pay for not working,he obligates others to there work.Javier is not qualify as a managerhe never supported me when i need it him example system down he was at home called for his support he never know how to fix anything.many customers have seen him just sitting in the office on the phone,Javier abuse his position to fire me for personal reason which is not like me but I was always had my responsability done the job i was payed for ,he wanted me to do his friends jobs ,extra work needs to be payed..Javier leaves the restaurant early but is still in the clock..or he would call me to clock him out,but now he gets the other cashier to clock him out or come to work late but he always say he come in 7am o8am Unfair of him firing me for asking no trash in sink to paty wednesday line lady 1year there she still doesnt know the menu always making mistakes,that wednesday she.made several mistakes customer orders, I hope he is investigated javier always plays victim he as a manager is not qualify you dont fire someone 7pm .I have photos and witness

I had the blackened fish tacos, and being from Texas I would say they were way below even average. The cashier barely even spoke and the place seemed kind of dead. Not worth the money in my opinion. If you're looking for tacos just go down the street to taco Bomba which is a step up.
