Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant offers the best food in the area. The staff is friendly and clearly passionate about food. Most of the ingredients are locally sourced, and the menu is diverse. We ended up going back twice during our 5-day stay and were not disappointed. We tried the steak, mushroom pasta, pâté chinois, and seasonal poutine with pulled pork, and enjoyed all 4 dishes. However, the standout dishes were the mushroom pasta and pâté chinois - both were delicious. Special thanks to our server Eliotte, who was friendly, energetic, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Thank you!
The restaurant is stunning and lively. The atmosphere is cozy but dark, with only a few candles on the table making it hard to read the menu. The service was efficient and there was no long wait to be served. The food was delicious, but the portions were quite small so ordering an appetizer is recommended. The trout was especially great and well-prepared. Overall, a safe recommendation for this place!
The waitress was friendly and energetic, but seemed overwhelmed with too many tables. The chef's prices were high and the food was disappointing. The bison bone marrow dish was served without the bone for $16. The chimichurri beef lacked flavor and was served on a greasy bed of yellow beets. The meat and cheese board was unimpressive. However, the fish and cheese were delicious. The fried sommeliers and roasted broth slices were greasy, while other dishes were unremarkable. The terrine was bland and the grapes were overripe. The black currant jelly did not meet expectations. A woman dancing on a table in another section added some intrigue to the pricey dining experience, with dinner for two costing over $100 including drinks.
My wife and I met friends there who live in the opposite. they said this is a popular restaurant on the lake. I had bison and my wife had braided bark that she said was her favorite meal in our vacation. the only part was. the volume of music that made it a little hard to have a good conversation.
Fabulous pub/restaurant, we had a particularly helpful waitress who was very patient and spoke wonderful English. The meal was excellent, husband had barbecue pork burger with fries and coleslaw and it was flavoursome and tasty. I had braised beef with mash and veg. I had...to order some fries as they were really spicy and zingy. Would recommend but just remember fresh food takes time to prepare. Just enjoy a beer or two while you wait. Wish we had a local like this at home.
