Bidrage med feedbackWe had an amazing evening at the restaurant with a fantastic festive menu. The staff were exceptional and the food was outstanding. A big thank you to Gianfranco and his team for a memorable night.
Absolutely beautiful food . Great atmosphere, really got looked after. Food amazing 5 Highly recommend Visit regularly
I recently had my first experience at this restaurant and I was completely blown away. The food was amazing. The two-course menu was priced very reasonably at approximately £18.95. I chose the chicken livers, which were some of the best I've ever had, followed by a deliciously spicy pizza that was outstanding. The only downside was that the bar service was quite slow before we were seated at our table.
We did not make a reservation and the restaurant was quite busy, so we waited for about 30 minutes for a table, which was expected. When we were shown to our table, we were surprised that there were no menus placed in front of us. After waiting for 10 minutes, we had to ask a staff member for menus, which should not have been necessary at a restaurant like Tiggis. The management was very friendly and appeared to work harder than the younger runners/waiters and waitresses who did not seem to care as much. There was one lady, whose name I unfortunately forgot, who was exceptional and appeared to be Italian - she really took care of us and was a credit to the team. The food was excellent and we could not fault it. However, it was disappointing that the service did not match the same high standards as the food.
This place is a real favourite of GF and as she is someone who knows how to cook then I must listen to what she says. This is a large Italian focused restaurant on the A59 that offers extensive set menus alongside a la carte. Like most places this day don’t expect amazing value but to be fair the food is always very good. As well as a couple of the chicken liver pate served with a whole pizza garlic bread we had a Daffy Duck (spring roll) and fantastic Gambos pil pil. Mains were split across a couple of pastas, a Sunday Roast and a pork with Marsala sauce. All thoroughly enjoyed. Quiet when we were in on Bank Holiday Monday (usually closed Mondays) and perhaps the established staff could be a little warmer. If they were they’d have a real great combination alongside their food, nice finish to the restaurant, and presumably a nice atmosphere on busy weekend evenings. Plenty of parking for the unlucky drivers.
