Junkyard - Reykjavik

I had a chicken burger that tasted exactly as I tasted at a Mc Chicken (even if it was more than 20 years ago, I tasted one). Chips are great, and service super friendly. Would come back if this longer stayed in Reykjavik.

Absolutely incredible food, up there with the best vegan burger I had. Was expensive as anything in Iceland, even unrecognized the size of the fries or drinks that came with him as we ordered a large one. They also sell subs/pittas in the local supermarkets (the pig, hagkaup) and a few others. Nor do they apply to be fully vegan as they want to attract other customers, but they are!

A great thank you and screamed Daniel on the junkyard to be my vegan hero and provider of the most amazing food in Iceland. Before my trip I contacted some vegan places on Instagram to check the opening hours and if reservations were required. The Junkyard team came back and said they could make lunch packages for day trips. This was so helpful as I went on a two-day tour to the South of Islands and worried me to find vegan food. I ordered two lunch packages with a Caesar bottom and one with a Pasta salad. It was so much more included. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. Seriously, I still think about the Pasta Salat Dressing. They were around $20 each, which is not bad at Icelandic prices! When my Northern Lights Tour was relocated to that day after I canceled the night before, it meant that I was unable to meet the pick-up time for the food. Daniel said no problem and bought it to the bus stop for me. Since I went only 30 minutes between the tour through the Golden Circle back to Reykjavik and the Northern Lights Tour, he brought me a burger and Pommes for dinner. I almost cried with joy in goodness. All of Junkyard was incredible.

My first night in Iceland, so my son and I just tied something to grab and go. This burger exceeded my expectations, it's incredible! The person serving was really helpful and gave me an English menu. The whole menu is vegan, so you can have what you want. Honestly, the best burger I've ever had!
