As You Like It - Ratoath

Called in for breakfast on a Saturday morning a very nice server showed us to a table, she went away to do something else and must have forgotten we were seated approx 15 minutes later she showed up to take our order... at this stage the noise in the cafe was unbearably loud with a large crowd that thought it was ok to engage in conversation so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves think and had absolutely no thought for other diners. As staff seemed to tolerate their behaviour we just got up and left to have our breakfast elsewhere. A horrible experience. We definitely won't be going back.

A great spot for a date night! Firstly the food was excellent. The amount of dishes on the menu isnt huge but there is something for most pallets. We both had the steak fillet and sirloin. The portion sizes were good and we were very satisfied with that. I would like to give a special compliment to our server on the night Lindsey. She helped us choose the wine and was extremely attentive to our table. We will be back for steak on the stone the next time!!!

It’s years since I’d been to As You Like It, as in the past I found it was a bit hit or miss. So recently I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service. Good range for vegetarians too. I’ll be returning more regularly.

I was really impressed by this Steakhouse, one of the best I have ever visited. The restaurant was very clean with a nice modern taste to the decor. The Service was excellent. We skipped the starters and went straight to the mains. We both had steak, a ribeye and a strip-lion. The presentation for me was perfect as it’s a simple dish. The flavours of the steaks were absolutely amazing, perfection on a plate, the pepper sauce was also top drawer. The side salad was done very well, a cabbage leaf containing a combination of salad and tasty balsamic. Last but not least the chips were done very well, very crunchy and clean. For me one of the best meals I have had in Co Meath. Well done “As You Like It”, I’ll be back.
