Bidrage med feedbackWe were visiting Parksville on Vancouver Island a couple weeks back, and read about this amazing place for tacos that is located along the scenic route along the coast, so decided to give it a try. When you stop by this small, unassuming hut in the middle of seemingly nowhere, you may think that is is just a place to get some cheap and quick food. Wrong on both counts - the tacos sold here are absolutely AMAZING, and the wait for these tasty treats was absolutely LONG (a good 45 minutes on an August weekday afternoon). While you wait, you can stare at the scenic ocean along the coastline of Vancouver Island. At the time of our visit, there was also a couple who were singing with their guitars and mike. Judging from the fact that some locals seem to be chatting them up, my guess is that this couple, maybe along with others, are regular entertainers who would just come by to sing a folk song or two. The tacos here were simply DELICIOUS! Juicy, fresh peppers and other vegetables laced with whatever else that you have ordered, and spiced with the place's secret sauce that tasted absolutely wonderful. There was so much veggie that our tacos were over-flowing and we ended up having the sweet and sour thai sauce spilled all over our hands. But it was totally worthwhile. It must also be mentioned that the tacos here were very economical: $5.50 for a full size chicken taco - what more can you ask for? If we are by the area again, we would definitely drive by for another tasty afternoon treat.
OMG, my mouth is still happy 3 days later. These tacos are to die for, butq remember you are on island time. The wait is sooooooooooooooooo worth it
My sister brought me there(glenny d brings every member of her family there) The tacos were great and having a fish taco afterwards at moxies was the worst experience. Full of flavor and tastes so fresh. Bought 5 people dinner and (some took 2) it only cost 36$.
My daughter Glenny raves about this place. While on the island visiting, we tried it out. Wow. Great seafood tacos, can hardly make them for the price. Great value, awesome flavour! I had the Shrimp and Fish Taco and they were to die for.
On a long weekend Sunday, we were informed that one taco would take 50-55 mins to prepare. This was due to the immense popularity of this tiny place. The menu is basic and so is the seating which adds to the charm. The band wasn't playing when we stopped, but what a great idea! Great food, music and ocean side dinning!Plenty of parking on the street.
