French Press Cafe - Qualicum Beach

I visited this lovely little bakery today after hearing great things about their vegan banana and lemon desserts! The coffee was just as delicious as the desserts. We had lunch there and found the staff to be very accommodating, willing to make vegan substitutions for some menu items. I opted for the avocado toast, which was tasty, although I wish there was more avocado - there was more toast than avocado. Overall, I will definitely be returning. Two out of the four in my group were from out of town.

I visited this restaurant for the first time this morning. My coffee and scone were delicious, but unfortunately, the woman at the counter really ruined the atmosphere for me. I later found out she is the manager of the Qualicum location. When I first walked in, I was unsure of where to place my order and she curtly told me "other side!" without any greeting or explanation. Even when I looked around confused, she just repeated "other side" with no patience. It was early and not busy, so her communication was unnecessary. She seemed to have a hipster attitude that was off-putting. Additionally, she ate and drank while taking my order, which I found unprofessional. I doubt I will be returning to this restaurant, as the behavior of this woman really soured my experience, despite the good food.

The outdoor seating at the restaurant is lovely for enjoying lunch. The food is delicious with ample fillings, although it did take a bit of time to prepare two sandwiches. The coffee was also very good.

Had coffee and bakery... don't write anything at home... Coffee wasn't great... Bakery were 'bland, and the service was moderate. Maybe because they were closed in 30 minutes?

Simple but awesome breakfast and baked goods. great coffee. Great service. These folks all obviously enjoy working here.
