Lovely bar with great food worth a visit if your in Portlaoise

Fab experience here, gorgeous food, lovely cocktails and great atmosphere. We had our little boy with us who is autistic, he got a bit overwhelmed as we came in the door but the lovely waitress realised this and offered us a quieter spot in the beer garden, even turning down the music out there. This small accommodation meant we were all able to enjoy our meal and a drink, without being worried about him being overstimulated!! Very impressed with the awareness, I think this will be a regular spot for us from now on

Vegan spinach salad was amazingly good. My dining partners had chicken pesto and fish goujons. We couldn't decide who had the best lunch.

Slow service, but barman apolegetic which was good. Floor staff not on the ball, not much for a vegetarian, the menu couldn't be altered unfortunately or no alternative could be offered when asked. Chunky chips were good.

I very much enjoyed the delicious salad of spinach,quinoa, tiny peppers, butternut squash. and more good things I am forgetting)I had them add shaved parmesan cheese! Wow! It hit the spot after eating rather heavy meals all week. It was very fresh, tasty and filling!!!
