Ribollita - Portland

Our experience at Ribollita was nothing short of warm, friendly, cozy, and incredibly delicious. A group of four adventurous foodies from Boston, we had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant during a weekend of historic coastal flooding. As a vegetarian, I was delighted to find the white bean hazelnut ravioli on the menu, which was not only delicious but also a pleasant surprise to discover that the restaurant's namesake was also vegetarian, although not explicitly advertised as such. We all enjoyed the ribollita so much that we almost considered ordering seconds. To complement our meal, we each ordered a carafe of the "house" red and white wine, which paired perfectly with our dishes. Overall, Ribollita is a great place to dine and we are already looking forward to our next visit. - John and Jon

This restaurant is authentic and charming with amazing food and service! It has quickly become a new favorite of mine. I highly recommend trying the shellfish linguini with white sauce.

Simple italian no frills not too pricey. Could use an update of the interior.

I have been dining at Ribolitta for over 20 years. On a recent visit for Epiphany Eve with my family, our waitress was attentive but not intrusive. She kept our water glasses filled and the bread with rosemary and crunchy salt was delicious. We tried the Ribolitta soup, Caesar salad, and panzanella, all of which were unique and tasty. The Ribolitta was particularly aromatic. For our main dishes, we enjoyed chicken puttanesca, gnocchi with prosciutto and peas, and Tuscan fish stew, each with its own flavorful sauce. The kitchen put in a lot of effort in preparing these dishes. For dessert, we had vanilla bean flan and chocolate torte with raspberry sauce, both of which were delicious. The service was excellent, and we were not rushed. Overall, a great meal and we will definitely be returning.

Ribollita never disappoints. It's a small, quaint restaurant that has been a solid fixture of the community for many years. It's locally-owned and they serve classic homemade, Italian meals. The location and relaxed atmosphere are great. You can have an amazing meal at nearly all price ranges. Highly recommend checking it out!
