Fore Street - Portland

My third or fourth visit here. Never disappoint. I'm a tough grader so the 4/5 stars. Party of two, we have oven roasted mushroom salad and beet salad for apps. I'm not on beds, but I was sure they were excellent. My salad was top notch something I would never make at home with such a variety of Schrooms and just the right size so I could still enjoy my main. I have scallops with sweet potatoes and pork brains with cabbage for the net. Both excellently cooked. Dark chocolate mousse cake and apple strudel for desserts. Bread basket contains sourdough that is made so rare and that was! Special cocktail menu was nothing spectacular in my view, but wine list is well thought out with not an overwhelming number of the glass options over all varieties. Service was friendly, well maintained and helpful. To be clear, although my favorite part of Fore Street continues to be the open kitchen. If I'd ever sit in the side room, I'd have to lose weight. The staff works hard and dances almost around the open kitchen with precision. I thought the price-experience ratio was about the right thing for 2023.

Beautiful service from the moment I went in the door. Had a drink in the lounge, the waitress was friendly and friendly and made sure I was pulled out before my reservation came and led me to my friends I met. Food was incredible, had shells, hangar steak and cornbread. My friends had scallops and cod and said they were fantastic. Very recommended for those who have an stellar night in Portland.

Phenomenal dining experience everything was exceptional....and Joe our waiter was the best!!! Until the next time....bon appetit!

This was our third visit to Fore Street and again we were not disappointed. The food was amazing, the service amazing. There were three of us and we wanted to hack all our plates clean lamb, duck confit, skate wings all amazing. The horn bread side should really be a dessert! We're coming back!

Fore Street provides all of the ingredients for a thoroughly enjoyable dinner out in Portland. The drinks at the bar were excellent and the food was very good. the service was excellent.
