Taco Shack - Port Chester

Very friendly, the restaurant has potential, but seems to be enduring some growing pains. Staff seemed to be unprepared for pre-show crush, a number of people walked out after a long wait... Enchiladas were OK Tacos good, margaritas were unbalanced, too much triple sec not much tequila.

2nd time dining here. Food has declined since previously. Chicken taco was so dry and hard, inedible. Service was slow! Food took nearly 40 mins for a few tacos.

The tacos had so much flavor. Their homemade sauces were excellent. I loved the fresh squeezed juices and beverages.

The food was decent (aside from the fact that the chorizo taco had a strangely grainy consistency and I know I got the last one because they told me), but the service (barring the bartender) was abysmal. The waitress took a while to take our order (there were only a couple other tables occupied, so I am not sure what was going on). When our food came out, one person 's order was correct, one was incorrect, and one didn 't come at all. It took a long time for them to sort it out. When they finally did, it ended up that one of the items had run out (it was 7:50 PM). We ordered a different taco instead, which was quite slow to arrive. When the bill came, it was wrong. When it came time to pay, they ran my card twice. I asked if it was going to go through twice, and was assured it would not. At one point I was saying 'excuse me ', to one of the waitresses, trying to get a question answered, and she was completely ignoring me. I checked my card later it went through twice. Food was decent, drinks were excellent, but with the variety of Mexican restaurants in the area, I won 't be returning to this one due to the service. This was the slowest taco place I 've ever visited, and now I have an unwanted credit card dispute.
