Shimmy Shack - Plymouth

This place is just so cool! Love the retro vibes- and the food! The falafel pita is delicious, and the sweet potato chili and the lemon bar. Can’t wait to go back and try everything! All vegan and gluten free, such a gem of a spot.

I purchased a Groupon for this restaurant. I probably would never have given it a try otherwise. Everything on the menu is vegan. We ordered nachos, chili, strawberry shake, sweet potato fries and a chocolate chip cookie. The nachos and chili were very good although skimpy in size. The shake was good and it had a delicate flavor. The sweet potato fries were tasty and crispy. The cookie had a unique flavor that I couldn't place. The restaurant has an eclectic decor with an up-beat atmosphere. The owner is very friendly and warm. I wish there were more offerings on the menu. I could see myself coming back to enjoy the eclectic feel itself. I am not vegan myself but was satisfied with the food and felt satiated. I am looking forward to coming back.

I live in the area and have been vegan for 2 years and never knew about this place! Came and ordered a double cheeseburger, a coney dog, and a lemon bar. I love seeing more vegan restaurants like this popping up. The lentil burger and lemon bar were sooo good. On the burger I removed the ketchup and mustard and added the Shimmy sauce instead! The Coney dog was good too. The carrot was kind of small and still crunchy but the coney on top was really good. Will be a frequent customer going forward!

Shimmy Shack is one great little vegan/gluten free restaurant! Taste and flavors are spot on! Our particular family favorite is the Shimmy Mac. So good! You seriously don't miss the wheat dairy. We are a family of gluten free and dairy free with one member being gluten free and vegan. This is OUR place! From the main dishes to the delectable cookies and bars! Yum! My daughter loves the falafel pita and fries! They also make some pretty good dips to compliment your fries! Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere.

This restaurant is adorable. I loved looking around at everything. They even have clothes for sale for a donation to their food pantry. I am new to being vegan. The food is a little pricey and the burger wasn’t super great, but the experience was excellent. The employees are kind and friendly. The food was out quick. The place is clean and unique. They have reusable mugs for water, cookies, a free bookshelf, and meals for sale in the fridge. I will definitely be back to try some more stuff out. Very glad I stopped in today!
