Tamarind Restaurant - Pinagsabangan

On the beach of sabang, a simple rustic looking restaurant. menu offers a good selection of things to do. bbq ribs are delicious.

The food was decent, the service was satisfactory, and the wine list was just average, but the view was stunning. I enjoyed dining at this restaurant because it is located right on the beach, allowing diners to enjoy their meal without being bothered by street vendors like at other restaurants across the sidewalk. The constant pestering from street vendors selling viagra or sunglasses can really ruin a meal.

This was my second visit to this restaurant. The first time was 3 years ago, where I gave a glowing review for their classic ribs and potato wedges, also known as Texas potatoes. During my second visit, I ordered the same thing - classic ribs and wedges. However, after an hour of waiting, our food still hadn't arrived. We had requested cold water but none was provided. When we inquired about the status of our food, the only response we received was that it was being checked and no updates were given. When the food finally arrived, the ribs were cold and the wedges were actually French fries. Overall, this second visit was a huge disappointment.

This waterfront restaurant is amazing, bustling with activity. The food here is truly excellent and reasonably priced. The service is great, with friendly staff. The BBQ dishes are top-notch and the best in the area.

Came out for a few beers at happy hour and went back home with a great set of ribs to share with the wife. Thanks Bernie for the great service and quality. FYI I HAD to take a picture of the new tomahawk steak your...guy was cooking : YUMMY!
