Central Market - Petaluma

We had a lovely dinner at Central Market. Warmed olives were delicious.The strawberry and greens salad was fresh although a tad over dressed. My husband had pizza which had a crisp thin crest and a very flavorful tomato sauce. My sparerib dinner was very good. Service was friendly if a bit slow.

You can't go wrong at Central Market. The menu isn't huge, but there are good quality options for different tastes and price points. The service is always fun and courteous and this visit was no exception.

Food, service and atmosphere were great. This is a place where people go who love freshly made food with wonderful ingredients. Our waitress, Isidora, from Argentina was fabulous. Very knowledgeable about the food, cheerful, and personable, making our evening superb! We had a salad with Point Reyes blue cheese dressing that was flavorful with the fresh veggies, then sampled the cabbage rolls filled with lamb, finely diced veggies and rice that were fabulous. We shared a homemade pasta with a marinara meat sauce that was delectable and filling, but saved room for desert: the butterscotch with fresh creme and maccarones were a fitting end to a scrumptious meal. I would highly recommend it!

It was our first visit and we had a bad service experience. At the 20 minute mark without anyone coming to our table I sought out help another 5 minutes and we got some help. After placing our orders we weren't checked on and had no opportunity to get more drinks. Another 10 minutes of trying to get eye contact to get our check.

Found Central Market to be comfortable and reasonably quiet noise wise. Service was excellent and quick and the dinners and salad we had were absolutely perfect. The Spinach Lasagna was very very good. Wait staff was very attentive even servers who did not have your section, no “that is not my table”, when they passed by they would look to see if all is well. The team effort among the wait staff seemed evident for all to insure the excellence of the diners experience.
