Bl Brasserie (formerly Bistro Laurent)

Admitted, we had no reservations on a Thursday night at 5:30, but after entering into the almost completely empty restaurant, the hostess informed us very politely that we personna non grata. no, she could not blame us at all in the empty restaurant. I wouldn't go back in there because of her. I hear it's good and looks sweet.

A fantastic French restaurant in downtown wine country. We had an amazing meal here and were really impressed with the service we received. Heather the host, and Mark the Sommelier, definitely made the evening wonderful. Their menu is very traditional French with an extensive wine list from both local and French vineyards. Take your time and enjoy this culinary gem.

Quality of the food was outstanding. Service was very attentive, but not overly so. Personalized service and menu/wine recommendations were exceptional. Best meal o of our trip!

I have been blessed with a life that has allowed me to eat in many great restaurants. Tonight as I sit in Paso Robles I was once again drawn to BL Brasserie. The food is fantastic, the ambiance is extremely comfortable, the wine list is large with a lot of local offerings (nice that they embrace their local winemakers) BUT THE BEST is the staff, they cover each other, in other words if Joe is busy at another table Mary covers for him. Being someone who dines alone most of the time I’m usually “THAT” guy Not here I’m “THE” guy. Nice to be appreciated. Good job all. Highly recommended

If I could I'd give 6 stars. This is one of the best restaurants that I've ever eaten in, and at my age, that's a lot. We went for the fixed Valentine's Day menu, with wine pairings for each course, and found that the entire staff were far above average. We booked another visit on our way out. And if there's as better restaurant within 100 miles, I'd be astounded.
