Probably the best pizza so far. gnocchi was light and tasty. house red wine was good. service was fast and efficient. very busy and has seats in free when the weather cooperates. I would eat there again.
We crossed the place after visiting the basilica and saw this restaurant. we sat right away. there were also many locals. we had an excellent service and great food! I ordered a page of grilled vegetables to accompany my meal that were amazing....We found everything to be very cheap. we were well taken care of and enjoyed us enormously.
We came here for lunch after visiting the magnificent Basilica di Sant Antonio across the street. Though the restaurant did not look especially appealing, we were hungry and it was the only one we saw in the vicinity. Service started well. A greeter seated us...immediately in the large dark dining room and left menus. We soon received a basket of stale bread for which we paid the usual cover charge. Then someone came to take our order. Only a few other customers sat in the room. I chose polenta with cheese and mushrooms and my husband opted for lasagna. Service essentially stopped after the food was delivered. I immensely disliked my selection. The polenta had a soupy consistency and a strange taste. The mushrooms added texture to the mixture but no flavor. The cheese overpowered. I could not continue after three bites. No staff were present to note that there was a problem and we saw no one throughout our meal. My husband’s lasagna seemed more like a stew, covering his plate with lots of ground beef mixed with pieces of pasta. It had a mealy taste, but he was able to finish his serving. We tried to flag someone down for the check but were ignored. So my husband went to the bar and paid there. As we headed to the train station, we noted many restaurants that truly beckoned. If only we had waited for a while longer after leaving the basilica.
It is a greasy spoon, doesn't look to clean many other good restaurants within walking distance. I saw a some locals eating seafood, since I do not eat seafood I cannot judge this
