Trattoria San Pietro - PADOVA

Lovely food, ambience and service We are going back to this restaurant as it was so good. Food excellent as was the service.

The restaurant seems to have excellent reviews and is consistently busy. I'll admit that whilst I found it decent, I was also a little underwhelmed and not as good as I had hoped. Food is Veneto home cooking including many classics (bigoli with sardine based Venetian sauce, Venice style veal liver, warm rabbit salad, Venice style codfish, homemade tagliatelle, etc. Dishes ranged from disappointing (e.g. codfish which was the only fish main on offer was really not great) to really enjoyable (e.g. tagliata and some of the seasonal porcini dishes). Service is pleasant and efficient and decent house wines (my favourite was the merlot).

Located off the beaten path, this nice small restaurant offers excellent service and great food. Unfortunately, they were out of liver that we specifically came for, but their veal was great.
