Bidrage med feedbackNorma Jeans was highly recommended. We were not cancelled. A cozy and well-equipped restaurant. Our waitress was pleasant and friendly. We started with Martinis. I had a maple glazed Arctic Char with veg and potatoes. My wife had the 10oz steak. We've finished with a cake and carrot cake. You can enjoy the presentation and taste of your food, the atmosphere and the people. Very recommended!
It's probably been two years since I was and now I'm twice in two days! The food was amazing as always. I had steak, perfectly prepared, with squash and potatoes. My husband had the lamb in curry sauce and said it was the best he ever tasted, and he always ordered lamb when it is on the menu. The next night I got up with my daughter for our mother and daughter night and we had the chocolate mousse and cream brulee. WOW. WOW. and WOW.
Bit pricey, was still hungry after. We even got a starter. Food had lots of flavour! Food had beautiful presentation.staff was nice. Was a nice meal but I need more for that price. Kinda feel like 4 stars is to much.but three stars to low. Was a busy place. Don’t know if I will return. Can’t judge on one meal. Maybe I was just extra hungry that day.
First of all let me say that this place USED to be probably one of my favourite restaurants of all times The place was SO COLD we had to wear our winter coats and we were at the opposite side of the restaurant not close to the front door My wife and I took a winter trip up to Owen sound all the while anticipating another fabulous meal. It was a three hour drive When I worked in the area it was ALWAYS my go to place This time it was beyond disappointing with the exception of the appetizer seafood and mushroom caps which was awesome Unfortunately the main course New York strip loin and everything that went with it was awful The steak was tuff the the beans were soggy the mushroom was burnt to a crisp The restaurant was quiet which surprised me remembering how good it used to be I don’t think I would EVER go back there and the price Including a good tip it wasn’t the waitresses fault was $120.00 We had no alcohol Rene the old owner would turn over in his grave I’m sure if he could see what’s happened to the place
It started well, with a friendly greeting, and our friends arriving for a good meal, and good conversation. After we ordered the conversation continued and we were enjoying their company, but we then realized that it was over an hour since we ordered. The people on one side of our table were eating their meal, but they got there well after us. Then the table on the other side got their meals and they arrived long after us. When we asked about the delay, our waitress seemed to go in defensive mode, which eventually became annoying, but alas our meal arrived....good thing we had good company to chat with and break the wait time. I would have to say our meal was at best adequate, but it certainly wasn 't hot, and the portions vs price was poor. Even the desert that sounded so delicious Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Pie (or whatever), seemed to be an overly small slice of what I would have said was a plain ole store bought pecan pie. Would we go back...absolutely not. For a restaurant that comes with a bit of pre-hype, it certainly let us down and with a thud.
