Harvey's / Swiss Chalet - Owen Sound

Two of us went in for lunch. My friend went to the register and ordered a Swiss Chalet grilled chicken sandwich and coffee, then went and found a table to wait at until her order was ready I went to the same cashier and ordered an original burger and small pop. As she was ringing it in, I saw the word Fries lit up on the top back of the register. I said I don 't want fries! She continued to enter my order I again said I don 't want fries! I looked at the receipt and it said fries. She told me what I had to pay and rather than saying she f ed up my order, I said that seems a little high for a burger and fries, hoping it would sink in that she made a mistake. She replied I gave you you the combo rate. I replied that I did NOT want, and didn 't order a combo. I DON 'T WANT FRIES. I want a hamburger and pop. She said Well, it 's already in the system , so I assume it can 't be removed I repeated I DON 'T WANT FRIES. She stood there with a deer in the headlights look until I repeated I DON 'T WANT FRIES!! Finally she got the message and called her manager to correct the order That wasn 't the end of it though. I took my order and went over to sit with my friend. Her Swiss Chalet order just came up. She opened the bag and commented on how big the box was for a chicken sandwich. She opened it and there were enough fries for two people ìn it! She said I didn 't order fries! The idiot at the counter decided to sell her an unwanted combo too. My friend didn 't want to cause trouble so she just took them home. She f ed up two in a row, and I am sure we weren 't the only ones.

This is a no-brainer when considering lunch or dinner. My usual is a double original burger and usually as a combo with fries. The fries here are some of the best in all of Grey Bruce and have been for quite a long time.

Restaurant was about to close. We were told. However girl at the counter said .Go ahead we'll feed you.Wow. So they took our order Later than needed. We ate at our hotel.Has to comment. Bang on service.

Employee changed all my Harvey souse to gravy, i called to complain and management bans me for complaining.

If you like fast food, this is where you will get a decent burger and fries, but with a bonus, because you could order swiss chalet chicken or ribs at the same kiosk without having to endure the long wait times for a seat at swiss chalet next door. Service is quick and efficient. Pricing is standard for a fast food burger outlet. They have added more tables on the Harvey's side to allow extra seating. It makes the place a bit more cramped, but I can understand they want to accommodate everyone as best they can.
