Tonkatsu Wako - Osaka

Good decent Tonkatsu. Can’t go wrong here and you get free refills of rice and cabbage. Service is polite and pretty quick.

They're pretty busy during lunchtime. However, the portion is huge for the price, and they offer free refill for sliced cabbage, miso soup and rice. The Tonkatsu is so crispy outside and juicy inside. You can either take it to go or eat in. The satff are very attentive and really sweet :

Really one of the best toncatsu I've ever had. Texture of the neckline was light, crispy and amazing. Loved also the grated radishes. Good service, fair price for quality. hesitate to return.

The quality of the meat used for the tone cat is generally good, the meat is properly trimmed as it does not have as much excess fat as it happens in other farms. The rice is fresh and tastes good every time. The fog soup uses small shells (Asari), as it is usually good, there were several times when I encountered a few grains of sand in the fog soup from some of the shells, but that happens in most kitchens that use fresh shells to create a part of the soup stock. There are options to order a special sauce and Daikon oroshi (grated daikon) for 100 yen. The restaurant validated the parking facilities, but that went back for a while.

Great Tonkatsu, they also have an English menu and the staff is very friendly.
