Bidrage med feedbackThis little place serves really good sushi. The owner understood the word vegetarian and made us three vegetarian dishes. The price was fair, too.
We tried sushi (pictured), a tuna bowl, shrimp and vegetable tempura, and some fried shrimp not pictured here. Everything was so delicious and fresh. The tuna was especially amazing quality and melts in your mouth. The couple who owns the place is really sweet as well. I'd recommend to anyone.
The owner chef who are nice and can speak English. They have English menu for the convenience of foreign visitors. The sashimi were so fresh, you are forgetting that you are nowhere near the sea and high in the mountains. The nigiri is also delicious. The grilled yellow tail fish head amazed me the most, it was grilled to perfection. Not a fish skin were charcoaled. The fish skin is a must finish. The miso soup is also delicious, where the prawn head was used in each serving. Lastly, the fry oyster was amazing as well. The price is reasonable consider where the restaurant is located. It is recommended to call for reservations during lunch or dinner time. There are only 5-6 sushi bar seats, and two table of 5 tatami seats. The warm sake is a must order during winter time.
Great ambience and an amazing chef. Prices was good and it came highly recommended by the innkeeper at our ryokan. Amazingly fresh, prepared within sight. The balance of wasabi to sushi was perfect. Would definitely come back here again if there is another opportunity to do so.
Excellent Sushi bar! The owner is very friendly and he understand a little of English. If you are vegetarian the have your covered.
