Yame Sushi - Oakville

I was disappointed when my favorite sushi spots in Mississauga closed down, but I ventured outside of the city and discovered this hidden gem! The sushi and other dishes on the menu are always fresh and delicious - even the deep-fried spring rolls taste like they were made that morning! I always enjoy starting my meal with the miso soup and the mango salad is flavorful. I've only been here for dinner so far, but it's definitely worth the drive!

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! We went here for my sister's birthday dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The fish was fresh and beautifully presented. The service was excellent, although a bit slow because of the verbal ordering system. I particularly enjoyed the presentation of the ikura. The waitress recommended the mango ice cream, and it was a fantastic choice - creamy in texture and fruity in flavor. I will definitely come back, but I hope they don't raise their prices anytime soon!

The atmosphere was lovely, and we were able to choose a booth by the window. We ordered edamame, a generously sized seaweed salad, Japanese Curry Rice bowl with Chicken (which was amazing), and a variety of rolls. Our favorite was the Spicy White Tuna Roll. The sushi, curry, and chicken teriyaki were all delicious. The portions were generous, with thicker sashimi than we are used to at Wind and August 8. The quality was so good that we would definitely make the drive to Oakville for sushi again in the future, rather than going to our usual spots. The service was quick and the wait staff were polite. Overall, we had a fantastic experience.

Picked the place by chance and then read the reviews. The food is good and fresh however some of the sushi weren't well presented/put together. However, overall will come back because the food tasted good and a great price.
