Bidrage med feedbackThis is our family's go to restaurant in Oakville. Our kids have grown up at the sushi bar, and are now old enough to order their own saki. When something needs to be celebrated (large or small) or after a rough day at the office, Michael and Ping and their staff are on hand. Chef Michael (who speaks four languages) only serves the freshest fish, some specialties only in season. Excellent chirashi for those who love their sashimi, spot on specialty rolls. A Japanese colleague of my husband introduced him to Sushi over 30 years ago. He loved it right away. He took sushi classes right away. He introduced me to it 25 years ago. It's been part of our regular diet ever since. Sometimes for breakfast. We know the difference between good and not so good. Gurei is good.
This is the best sushi restaurant I have tried in the Oakville/Burlington region. They serve the freshest sashimi, delicious appetizers, and provide excellent service. I have been a loyal customer for over 3 years, even after moving away from the area. Thank you, Michael, for your outstanding service, quality ingredients, and great attitude every time I visit!
I stumbled upon this restaurant after a long walk along the waterfront and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the reasonable prices. While it may not be the best Japanese restaurant in town, the welcoming atmosphere and attentive chef and staff made for a great dining experience. The highlight was the unagi over rice, which was perfectly cooked and generously portioned for just $18. The dish was not drowned in sauce and included subtle and delicious extras like scallions, fish roe, and spices. The meal also came with soup and salad, leaving me feeling more than satisfied. I highly recommend this place.
Service was sweet and friendly. Sushi was good. I will be visiting here rather than Spoon and Fork from now on!
By the tram stop, we sat outside. We had a lunch sushi combo, perfectly OK, nothing exceptional, but it hit the spot and was pretty good value. Inside the chefs were clearly plying their trade with fresh salmon heads aplenty and a nice display of sashimi. Service was a bit slow and quiet for us. And not sure about the low salt soy, I prefer the regular version.
