Island Empanada - Oakdale

The empanadas are excellent ???? plantains on the side too. They even have a bar. It's a chill place to eat. Nice outdoor patio for the summer too.

This was my first experience with empanadas, and it was very good. I did take out for me and my wife, and we had a coupon from the paper to get a third one for free that we used for a dessert empanada. The place was immaculate, and the staff was very helpful. I felt the prices were reasonable, and less than I expected. My wife got a shrimp and mango empanada, and I got the Chipotle chicken.

Best empanadas I've ever had! The amarillos (fried sweet plantains) are just as good as my grandmother used to make!

Empanadas were great! Service was super friendly and helpful. Next trip to area I'll be back!
