Angelfish - Northumberland

We thoroughly enjoyed our food from Angelfish. The chips were really good, full of flavour and not that dreaded oily/fishy flavour you often get. The curry sauce was delicious, nothing like the generic chippy sauce. The shop itself is very well presented. The wine fridge is an excellent addition, it would allow you to make a real occasion of such a traditional 'quick tea ' which I find really charming.

Had them many times. Always good. Freshly cooked. Crispy bubbly battered fish.You can pre order and collect later. I have not used it myself but they have an app!

Gorgeous hand cut chips 'double cooked ' takes the taste stakes up a notch! Fish chunky and well cooked fab minted mushy peas and homemade tartare sauce. Take a detour!

Everything was perfect. Fresh haddock prepared and battered in front of us before being fried. Chips made with hi quality potatoes. Served in solid boxes that keep things fresh if you are walking home! Good chilled local beers and even a small keg of real ale and pints available on tap.
