Dropped in for a humble box lunch, hearty sandwich, warming soup, amazing cake! Felt very well taken care of in an extremely wholesome manner. Definitely a comfortable niche in this part of town to relax during your lunch hour!

This is a wonderful place for gluten free options. I have Celiac Disease. I was lucky to find Front Porch Cakes Eatery. The owner explained their gluten free options. She advised me that they are not a dedicated gluten free facility, but explained the care she takes in preparing her gluten free options. In addition to their gluten free dessert options, there is also a gluten free bread option. It is delicious. I got the turkey sandwich and added bacon. I didn't get it toasted and it didn't crumble apart like most gluten free breads. I got the almond, lemon and chocolate pound cake slices. Each piece was moist and delicious. The experience here reminded me of my summers as a youth. My grandmother used to fix me sandwiches and goodies. I would take them to the front porch and eat them.

Stopped in near closing time for lunch on Saturday. Welcoming and friendly staff and owners. Just the right amount of food quiche and fruit. Wife had chicken salad sandwich and potato salad. We also had two pound cake flavors. A quick taste of tomato basil soup. Yummy. Pleasant indoor or outdoor seating and take out. Price is right.. We definitely will be back. Try it and see for yourself.

Wonderful pound cakes. I plan to try them all and their foods ! I got pumpkin and pecan pound cake They are delicious and can make gluten free they get 5 ?? ?? ?? ?? ??. May as well get whole cake as you will wish you did if you just get one piece ????

The pound cake is amazing! The right amount of sweet, dense and moist. Everything pound cake should be. We tried individual slices of lemon, 5 flavor, almond and chocolate. I stopped in for the first time yesterday thinking it was just cupcakes, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is going to be my new pound cake place in RVA! Please don?t change a thing what that recipe! Not. A. Thing. I will be back for more before too long.
