Roots Natural Kitchen - Richmond

I’m a long time roots natural kitchen fan from Blacksburg VA, but this location is just awful. The 3 times I’ve ordered from here my bowls have been so poorly mixed. I order 2 el jefe bowls and they looks like different meals entirely (see below). What a shame.

Love the food but they don't let you get a dang kids bowl unless your kid is with you? Why can't I get a kids bowl exactly? That's ridiculous. Yall messed upFood: 4/5

First off- I got the Mad Bowl and it was absolutely delicious. My only complaint about the food was that the mushrooms were very gritty and sometimes hurt the teeth, which tells me they might not have been washed thoroughly. Notice that even so I rated 4 stars because the food is that dang good. The service was alright, but at the end of the line with the proteins, the people making my food were talking to each other and just holding my food doing nothing/moving slowly so I just had to awkwardly wait for them to finish my bowl while they nonchalantly chatted. Overall though, good experience and definitely will be back.

ORDER from 5/16/23 at 8:00pm :I really wanted to like this place (and that’s not to say the food isn’t terrific! . But when you order 2 x $20+ salads, and one of the bowls is clearly the wrong order… (Sorry, “Katrina”, you’re probably wondering where your custom bowl went Had to toss a $24 salad (allergic! , not to mention delivery, etc. And this was clearly not DoorDash’s fault because my Outlaw made it fine in the same brown paper bag.Communication is everything in a restaurant with this many options. I’ve managed restaurants plenty, and I know these things can happen. But this simply cost me.(yeah, I basically paid $60 for an Outlaw ? Receipt attached w personal info removed

Veggies, tofu, can't really go wrong here. Kids eat free.. literally a smaller bowl with whatever they want!
