Bidrage med feedbackAfter dinner great service and beautiful atmosphere in a well maintained art deco builidng.
Very, very disappointed in the Pear and Rocket Salad that we ordered. We received two miniscule wafer thin pieces of pear that were so thin they were almost transparent. Please don't advertise the main ingredient of a dish and then not provide it to the...client.
After work drinks and food and Friday. Grounded pub and much larger out the back than it appears from the street. Never expect much from pub food, but once we ordered our meals came amazingly fast despite them being very busy, and all of us...reported great food! I had arancini balls and Moroccan chicken salad, bit excellent!
It was a bit hit and miss in this department. chunks, where good size with many vegs. I have the laughs. the fish was good, decent size and delicious. but the sides let it down....three slices of sweet potato and a dozen pounds. the service was order at the bar and it is brought on its table. Waiting time was good, looking for them when good middle of newcastle. they can choose from inside or outside kitchen. the rear courtyard is beautifully hidden from the main road so pretty. only to be warned in winter, it is very shaded and a bit of a wind tunnel so bring a warm jacket. and decided if I were to eat again there.
We drove for a day to newcastle and I called into this place for a beer. I sat on the high tables on the footpath outside to observe some people. restaurant upstairs seemed pretty busy.
