Patisserie Salzburg - New Canaan

Have gotten pastries and desserts here a few times. The cupcake frosting was like a rock. The read was ok. No idea who there distributor is but they should change .

Got macarons there last Friday. Two of each color at 2.50 a pop. I asked if the were fresh, since I was getting a few and they are not cheap. Reply was that yes, they were made yesterday. I could tell he looked a bit like a deer caught in a headlight, but I decided to trust: All of them were super crumbly, obviously not fresh. A couple of them were moldy, I couldn't finish mine and one of my guests had to spit it out in a napkin. Never again.

My co-worker told me about this place, and I definitely had to check it out. What a delicious looking selection of pastries! I'm personally not a sweets person but was having a craving today! Stopped in for a slice of tiramisu, and wow, was it delicious! Best I've ever had! They also serve food, and I hear it's amazing! Will definitely be back for lunch!

Friendly staff, cute little shop, but the pistachio ricotta birthday cake we ordered was a disappointment. They definitely forgot to put in the gelatin or something to hold the mousse. So after 5 hours of waiting for it to thicken, we had to spoon the cream and cheese out like a soup.... It's a shame because the flavor was good.
