Capitolo Primo - MONTALLEGRO

We stayed here in May for two nights and had a fabulous dinner both nights. Breakfast is also delicious. Damiano and Adriana are amazing hosts, very warm and welcoming. There were beaches nearby. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable in the gorgeous. house. But the main attraction is the FOOD. We had the tasting menu the first night and the regular menu the second. Both were delicious and inventive, using traditional Sicilian ingredients and methods but putting a unique twist on them. The wine list is massive, with a cellar you can see down into from the floor. Everything was incredible and we felt so at home. Close by is the Valley of the Temples and the Turkish Steps. We are so glad we stopped in Montallegro for a stay at Relais Briuccia and the unforgettable meals at Capitolo Primo.

A wonderful lunch in a beautifully restored building space. Recommended to us the previous day by our Segesta guide. We had the “meat” tasting menu. Top rated chef demonstrated his culinary prowess and his charming wife added to the experience in elegant surroundings. A little off the beaten path but worth the effort to find. You won’t be disappointed.

We read about this amazing restaurant in our tourist guide ‘individuell reisen Michael Müller Verlag’ and already the welcoming was incredibly nice and friendly. The cook and his wife are both super nice and funny. We eat twice in the restaurant. The first time we chose the menù degustazione and the second time the menù sorpresa. I have to empathize that I’m allergic I’m gluten and it was absolutely no problem. We eat like kings it was super delicious a real dream. We highly recommend this restaurant even if it’s in the small village Montallegro (btw a cute village with friendly Italiens) to eat there and we will come again

Expectations were higher. for charity nothing silly, the beautiful lady, the cute environment, but. Something didn't work. perhaps an excess of sapidity in almost all the dishes given by the cheese or guided. and then the push on the proposal of the day that (of course all do) in the end turns out antipatic because besides not to examine the menu leads to light the final price. try again with the choices from the autonomous menu.

Exquisite setting (special hotel of the local baron to abandon and restored for more than three years with taste in the middle of a village without any other interest to be pleasant. Inventive and refined dishes, sought and succulent, whose preparation work sometimes leaves pantois (the crust toothex. one of my best risottos. local wines with adoration.
