Austin Fish & Chips - Mission

I was really impressed by this restaurant. The fish and chips were expertly made and not greasy at all.

I visited the restaurant on Tuesday, the 21st of this month. My father and I arrived at around 7:20 pm, just before they closed at 8:00pm. We both enjoyed the all you can eat Fish and Chips.

The fish and chips at this restaurant in Mission are excellent. They offer generous portions at a reasonable price, and sometimes even provide extra fish. It's definitely worth a visit.

We had dinner tonight, for the first time in a long time, at the Austin. We ordered a cod burger with fries and coleslaw and calamari with ceasar salad and coleslaw. The cod burger was really good as was the coleslaw and ceasar salad. But the calamari tasted like salty batter and not much like squid. Perhaps I should have ordered deep fried batter! The service was adequate, really the minimum necessary to take orders and get the food to the table. The decor is primarily left overs from the previous owner with various bits of equipment situated at the convenience of the staff and clearly visible to the customers. Atmosphere =0! Clearly this place is about the food so we will try it again, perhaps just sticking to good old fish and chips.

Awesome fish and chips, non greasy, fries are fresh and crispy, the fish batter is light and done to perfection, service is very attentive, friendly, nice ambience, clean, comfy, a 10 outta 10
