Blue Collar - Miami

Personally, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to a friend. Our experience wasn't great, but it's worth noting that others might have a different experience. We tried the Cuban spring rolls with a tasty mustard sauce and ordered a hamburger and ragout pasta. The hamburger was good, cooked to our liking, but the fries were a bit too salty. Unfortunately, the ragout pasta was underwhelming and salty too. We skipped dessert after seeing another table leave theirs mostly uneaten. Service was mixed, with two of the three servers being very pleasant, but one seemed a bit rude. He cleared our plates before we had finished our meal without even asking. In summary, the food was underwhelming, and the service had its ups and downs. The place might look better during the day, but at night, it lacks ambiance. Others might enjoy it more, but it didn't meet our expectations.

Lentil soup is our favorite! Best in Miami! Love the vegetables! Love the ribs! Love the ragout!

My husband and I arrive decided last minute to dine here on Labor Day. When we arrived the general manager Adam rudely asked if we had a reservation. We said no and extra rudely said “It’s an hour and a half wait. It’s Labor Day you know…” we said no problem and went back to the car. Since we’re almost never in the area, I opened Open Table to see if there was a reservation for later and wouldn’t you know it. There was one in 20 minutes! We drove around and went back to the restaurant at our now reserved time. Adam didn’t even remember us and told us we had to wait for a table to be cleaned. While waiting a father and son pair arrived. Adam asked if they had a reservation which they replied they didn’t and he said is just 2; like my husband and myself, we can seat you. So we were seated at the same time and not given any attitude from Adam. In addition, they received their food before we did. The oxtail, chocolate cake, and bread pudding were amazing! Great Miami Spice deal as well. Too bad Adam was an A hole and ruined the experience. Not sure we will be returning. There are too many fine establishments to beg someone to take our money. By the way, my husband and I are black and the father son duo were white…

Food was great and service was good. Been many times but yesterday both my date and myself got sick afterwards. Up all night sick. Very disappointing because the food is always on point but I don't know if I would come back anymore.
