Pj Pies - McAllen

Pies are just o-kay. The service was very nice. They were very accommodating and attentive. Our group ordered savory pies for lunch and finished off with a few slices of dessert pies. The consensus was that they weren't very good. I just can't seem toput my finger on what exactly was lacking. Honestly, it all was very bland. I've had much better pies both from the grocerystore and homemade. We were a bit disappointed to find out that they weren't serving their shepard pies until 1-2pm : . We evencalled ahead to make sure they would be ready made. On the other hand their bacon avocado lettuce tomato sandwich was verygood. Lots of meaty well cooked bacon, yum! I would recommend to the kitchen adding a pinch of salt and fresh ground pepper onthe tomato when assembling your sandwiches. Believe me, it makes a world of a difference. : I really enjoyed their tomatosoup. It was flavorful and I loved the slightly chucky pureed texture. This is very much a novelty restaurant. A shame theirspecialties aren't better.

Gabriel was so helpful and patient in explaining not only the pies, but the beverages,too. He was so excited for us to try the drinks-one of us doesn't like coffee-that we BOTH got coffee drinks and BOTH really enjoyed it! Can't wait to try the pies webought. This was our first time coming to the new location. For the longest time we sadly thought they had gone out of business.We were driving by and saw the sign! Happy tummies! Definitely will be back!

My husband and I stopped for a snack and had a great time. We shared the Gobbler Pie and a slice of apple pie. Both were really tasty! Friendly service environment. Our baby loved looking at the artwork on the ceiling.

Don't really care for the new location, doesn't feel inviting like the old place did. Order the blueberry and basil and goat cheese pie. It's always good but this time the slice seemed small and at $7.00 seemed over priced.

PJ Pies is the best place for pies. They are made to perfection. Your taste buds will be satisfied like never before. Cannot wait for the next visit.
