Bidrage med feedbackI drove my motorcycle to Martinez to see where the front wheel took me. When I stared and closed many businesses for C19, I thought I would go back to Pleasant Hill where I started and go to Wendy's. Canton in downtown MZ was open and I went to and ordered Mongolian chicken to go (obv). I have a small order of rice and went out and ate the whole thing on the seat of my bike with it as a retrofit table. It was delicious, and I wasn't driven to need more food. $13 very well spent. I went back to thank the owners for having the chance to be open. Try it. BTW, meat stack in my box. Not the usu movement of a few pieces of meat mixed in a farm of onions and peppers and not. I'm back! Next time I take a picture of the food and mail.
A sleepy little town but, a very good Chinese restaurant. Was surprisingly good. The hot and sour was a bit different than ive had before. The meat dish was very tender. All the dishes had very good flavor. We took Amtrak and walked over. If your in town and need a quick, good, meal, then here you go.
We absolutely adore this restaurant. The owners, Theresa and the chef, are fantastic. Theresa hand-rolls the wontons for their soup fresh every day, and everything is incredibly fresh. If you want a popular Asian dish that's not on the menu, just ask - they'll typically make it for you. It's a relief to see that they're still open despite the current challenges. We enjoy going out to support this local business. The restaurant is in a great location, and the owners are friendly and remember your name and order as soon as they see you. And, of course, the food is delicious.
Located in the heart of downtown Martinez, Canton Restaurant offers a quiet and cozy atmosphere with top-notch food and service. The portions were generous when we visited on 10/15/19 for lunch specials. I ordered the Cashew Chicken while my companion had the Sweet and Sour Pork. Both of us were impressed by the delicious soup, which was a unique twist on the traditional Tofu hot and sour soup, featuring small tomato pieces in a flavorful tomato broth with tofu and bean sprouts. It was a perfect dish to warm us up on a cool autumn day. We opted for pork chow mein instead of roasted rice, and the spring roll that came with it was crispy and fresh (though we wished there was a sweet and sour sauce for dipping). The Cashew Chicken was packed with cashews and the zucchini and sugar snap peas were crunchy and fresh. We finished our meal with a pot of hot tea. I highly recommend this restaurant for its great food, excellent service, and inviting ambiance. The only downside was not being able to sit by the window and enjoy a view of the street.
We absolutely adore this restaurant - it's our favorite. Our five children always enjoy their meals here. The food is clean and fresh, not greasy at all. We especially love ordering the family meal, as it leaves us with plenty of leftovers to take home.
