Mirador Waikiki - Mar del Plata

We took the sole on the menu, it was not alone; we took the seafood plate, it contained only Calamares and Squid. The green sauce was tasteless. The salad was not the one we ordered. Service was not particularly friendly. Clearly overpriced for what it offers!

We went to Waikiki because of the location and view. But the food and the service were a little disappointed. I and my sister shared a chicken carving (and we got a beef carving) we held it because it looked good and we... almost 30 min for the food, it was really nice, we ordered a tributary of French pommes when the carving did not come in.. I had to send the fries back two times when they were literally cold when they came for the third time, we were almost ready to eat, and they still accused us for them. My husband ordered a salmon-cooked potatoes and cooked vegetables... everything on this plate really looked dry and not very delicious. And finally, my friend ordered a grilled chicken with Gravy sauce and rustic potatoes, it was just ok. Including water, beer and Coke Zero we spent around 1600 pesos... I thought it was a lot for the quality of food... I don't think I'll go back...

The good part: the view. The ambience. The dessert. Service. We had a late lunch and dinner (at 5:00). They didn't have a hot meal, just cold sandwiches, which was kind of disappointing. That said the ham and cheese sandwich was just perfect. Fresh bread, good ingredients, at about $8. The desserts were great cheesecakes, apple cakes and a few others I wish I could have tried. If you are looking for a great look and decent food, I highly recommend it.

So the place turns around the view, the food is average, but abundant. The service was good and despite the Groaning at the arrival of a singer, we were made to eat our words as he was very good and sang in both English... Spanish as well as a fun and entertaining way with the Diners. The locals have stopped dancing to the music songs.

Mirador Waikiki has an awesome location. You have your drinks or your meals in a place which is surrounded by the restless sea of Mar del Plata. The murmur of the waves and of the wind accompanies the chat. Said that you must be aware...of the excessive prices at this place. You pay the view many times. No debit no credit cards. Breakfast has no variety and the service is not as good as it should considered the high prices.
