La Commedia Della Pentola - Lu

What a fantastic restaurant...was invited for lunch by friend who knew the restaurant well. It was just a perfect day for visit...a bit of foggy and misty sky....Mauro was an excellent host...traditional food, an excellent choice of wines...all in all a fantastic culinary experience that we will indeed repeat soon....and by the way....dont try to resist Mauro’s temptations....his food propositions are top notch....

Exceptional tasty, enormous wine choice) the summer view and atmosphere is awesome for romantic evening. Also, as i heard, u can book a room next time i will do it, big parking, modern pool and nice garden design. Hard to find, but its really worth to.

Mauro was an excellent host. We visited the restaurante 2 times in 2 days ... and would return a third time but was not possible. No doubt I will return when in Italy. Extraordinary gourmet experience. Innovative dishes, desserts, excelent wine.

We met up for lunch at La Commedia della Pentola on our way back from Sardinia to Milan. The first thing to strike you as you walk up to the pool and restaurant is the amazing vista. The view is gorgeous, rolling hills and masses of flowers, and the restaurant itself under a marquee is stunning. There are white curtains flowing in the permanent breeze, and the tables are all adorned with colourful glasses and lovely crokery. It is quite Laura Ashley without being twee! The owner is really lovely and helpful and showed us their rooms that they rent out overnight looks like a great place to get away for the weekend if you live in Milan. I loved the tasting menu their steak tartare was delicious as was the pear filled with blue cheese. The dishes were creative and a little different, and obviously a lot of the produce was home grown. It's a great place for a long relaxing lunch, kids can swim while you sip your wine after lunch and you don't feel rushed to leave. La Commedia della Pentola offers a calm relaxed atmosphere and a sumptuous menu.

There were a couple of oddities in the tasting menu, but the place and service is fun, so it's all worth it.
