I made a reservation for Sao Gabriel two months in advance to celebrate my 34th birthday. What an experience! From the moment we walked in the door, to the moment they called us a car service to go back to our hotel...we were treated like royalty. The food was divine, especially the tuna with guacamole ice cream and the suckling pig with vanilla potatoes. Each course was full of color, flavor and texture. We were also surprised with a birthday cake!
On a quiet mid week night made very welcome. Great sommelier helped with wine selection Good that you can go a la carte and not be forced in to a tasting menu Innovative and full of flavour Very good just a little bit less good than Casa Velha which was the best food of our time in Algarve
We visited last week, 4 adults. We found the standard of service exquisite, friendly and unobtrusive. The food was to die for! Melt in the mouth steak, succulent suckling pig and lamb cooked perfectly! Favourite restaurant on the Algarve!
Nice evening at Sao Gabriel having the signature menu with great choice of Seafood. Food was creative, surprising and very tasty. Special call out for vast majority of incredients being local. Wine pairing was also great, mostly locally from Portugal. Service was very heartly and gave some cool background for every course. We can definitely recommend the restaurant!
