Always very good. Large portions for the price. Nice employees that provide solid service. Highly recommend. Could use a deep cleaning but that's most restaurants. If they had above average sanitary conditions I'd five star it. It's not overly dirty either. Just normal restaurant stuff.

We moved away but came here on Sat. Glad we did! Very very sweet waitress (wish I knew her name..it was in the afternoon around 2:30). Food and prices were great! The homemade salsa was to die for! We will be back again!!!!

Man... what a bummer. We lived in Redford about 15 years ago and this was a go to place for us. I recall the hard tacos as being some of the best around. We were close by for a swim meet and turns out there were like 6 heats of the mile, which runs about 20 minutes a heat so we had some time to grab a bite. For old times sake we decided to hit Old Mexico. Sadly memories are far fonder than reality. The place was pretty full and there were only a couple of servers and most of our interaction with our server was after waiting patiently for him to come over before finally waving him down. The margarita was strong I am not going to complain but the chips and salsa were a bummer. The salsa tasted like it came from a jar. I mean I guess the chips didn't suck but they are the delivery system for the crappy salsa. The food was not great. Certainly didn't come close to the memory of it. I order chicken fajita's and I didn't eat much because they just weren't good. My husband got the tacos and again it did not meet the memory. I recall this place being a family run, authentic Mexican restaurant. It is no longer that. I wish I had preserved the fond memory and skipped it for 2 hours of kids swimming the mile.

Not real authentic Mexican food very bland. Gave me food poisoning food was bland canned taste definitely could tell. They need to close good riddance

I ordered a carry out a few days ago and the food was horrible. First off, when my boyfriend got home they didn't put my fried ice cream or sour cream in the bag (I get it, we're human and we make mistakes, but it has happened every single time I've ordered carry out from that restaurant). He had to drive 8 miles to pick ip what they forgot to put in bag. The fried ice cream is nothing like it use to be in previous years. It used to be coated in cornflakes; served with fried tortillas. Now, It's just a lump of ice cream laying on a fried tortilla. Over the years, that was my go to place for Mexican and I loved it. A couple years ago it started going downhill and I stopped going there. I decided to give them another chance last week end it was a complete fail. I had tacos, enchilada combo; my boyfriend had the wet burrito and the food was horrible, tasteless (reminded me like crappy Tex-Mex). I don't know if there are new owners, but it's nothing like it used to be 3+ years ago. I will never ever patronize that place again.
