La Grotta - Little Neck

Since the 1990s, when I lived in Little Neck, I have had the pleasure of dining at Marcello's fine restaurant. Yesterday for lunch, I enjoyed a double portion of octopus with a side of linguine with oil and garlic. Marcello always says, "Paul, I'll make you whatever you want," and he truly delivers. Octopus can be difficult to cook properly, but Marcello's expertise ensures that it is tender and flavorful. He treats all customers like friends and provides top-notch service. This restaurant is amazing! I am visiting for work and was craving authentic Italian food. As an Italian myself, I am quite picky when it comes to Italian cuisine. We were greeted promptly, and I believe it was the owner who welcomed us and seated us. He explained the specials and was incredibly friendly and kind. I ordered the veal parmigiana and it was absolutely delicious! The meat was tender as it should be, and the sauce was excellent. I was impressed that the dish was not greasy at all.

Had the prawns over linguine... magnificent wife had calamari...fresh made , tender and delicious.Owner Marcello couldn't have been more solicitous to our every need... one of the best Italian restaurants I've eaten in... better food and service then the better known El Bacco down the block, Highly recommended
