Bidrage med feedbackOverall rating: 4.3I’ve been back and forth with this rating. It has such high ratings and the food is really good. But I had such a terrible experience going solo, it really rubbed me the wrong way. Let me start with explaining that I’ve been here twice:1) solo 3/5 I had no reso and came the moment it opened. Instantly people were already showing. I got seated at the bar (involuntarily) and while there was every seat available, they sat me right in front of the kitchen. I could see very clearly into the kitchen. It was a turn off. then it just took forever to get my order in, being 1 of 7 people in the restaurant. And the bartender is literally right in front of me. being at an Asian restaurant, I oddly felt like I didn’t belong. Isn’t that weird? As an Asian, I haven’t felt that in awhile. food was good. Side of rice was def not needed. Somehow thought it would have some garnish. The sloppy bao was very good! but I wanted to get out of there immediately. I’m not sure if I got judged because I didn’t want to drink or maybe it was an off day for them on a Saturday. I just won’t ever come back solo.2) on a date 4.5/5 I made sure I came back on a date to snag a table. We were lucky with a walk in on a Tuesday around 7. We had to wait about 30 45 min and just chilled across the street at their bakery. this experience was different. The host felt warm. again seated at the bar, the bartender was A LOT nicer than my previous time. She was attentive, but still gave my date I space. Food was really good. The big chicken bun literally felt like an Asian McChicken it was sooo good. I forgot what my date had, but I’m sure if you share a picture they’ll know. It was pretty spicy but very good. Will I come back again? I don’t know. But I do recommend trying on a date or with friends. If you somehow manage to get seated at the table not at the bar, could you tell me the secret?
Good atmosphere. Food wasn’t bad fusion Taiwanese, more on the fusion side with a BIG tweak. I appreciate the waitress trying to be suggestive (like it’s better to share plates here, “I’d recommend to order a rice dish”, etc. , but honestly felt pushed into ordering too much food for our table.Food: 4/5
This joint thrives off of the atmosphere. It is really really welcoming and easy on the eye. Great hangout spot. Places like these sacrifice service due to their hipness. Don’t expect service to be super nice or have too much time; it’s not that type of place, get in that mindset. The food was delicious. The lamb noodles were great. We recommend the amazing chicken sandwich and the smoked tofu bowl. Expect food to be stinky, that’s just the vibe. Price is a tad elevated for what you get but again is to be expected at a hip spot like this. Come over, great spot.
We had a very nice meal here. Overall, the food is very good, but it is extremely expensive for what you get. The best dish was the pan fried pork buns.If I return, I might sit at the bar and get the buns with a cocktail. I’m unlikely to return with a group given the extreme cost.
Not my favorite of the fried chicken sandwiches had on this day tour but was one of the most unique. A kind of sweetness to it. There was too much mayo on mine, it was oozing out all over the place and kind of took over the sandwich tho was biggest complaint. Enjoyed the bathroom art...
