Sjoebua - Lillesand

This cozy restaurant in Ålesund has a fantastic location and serves delicious, well-prepared food. I was very satisfied with my dining experience. The prices were a bit high, but that is typical for Norway. Unfortunately, I was unable to take photos of the meals. Our party of five paid approximately 3600 kroner, which is around $360 (1 USD = 10 kroner, the exchange rate when we were there). I recommend booking a table in advance.

We had a cozy dining experience with delicious seafood and fantastic service. Our group of 8 left feeling very satisfied.

Atmosphere: 4 stars. Service: 5 stars. Food: 1 star. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the quality of the food at this restaurant. We ordered a surf and turf dish and were served a raw, cold, and tasteless lobster tail. The wine list was also disappointing as we requested a specific wine and were served a cheaper alternative. The lobster soup and crema catalana dessert were the only saving grace of the meal. The cataplana Portuguese dish was overpriced and lacked flavor. Overall, the service was good but the subpar food ruined the dining experience.

If they are in ålesund and on the look for a beautiful small fish restaurant, this is the place to go. they have very friendly staff who advise them why to eat. we tried the whale as beginning and then some traditional klippfisk (coden fish) and wild habilita, which was the beginning of the day. everything was delicious.

Very nice place, delicious food, not too expensive.
