Dairy Queen Grill Chill - Layton

Asked for a large sprite at the order screen 3 times and still ended with fries, and they weren't even cooked completely, then got home and had to dump my blizzard into a bowl to finish mixing it forgetting the fact it was more liquid than solid. This isn't the first time I've had issues with this location, just go to a different one

Ordered a small cone. Ended up having ice cream served in a small paper inside the cone. The quality of the ice cream was similar to custard, making it very good but we didn't care to eat it with paper. We plan to visit another Dairy Queen next time. The store is very busy and those working seem to be working very hard. Perhaps due to the overwhelming amount of business they were not able to get paper towels in the bathrooms.

Customer service was soooo bad. Not from the normal employees, they were super nice! The manager made a terrible customer service decision! The gal taking our order got something wrong, no big deal. We both thought I could use a buy one get one for .99 coupon, turns out we had to order a burger as well. We had just eaten but our family was going out for ice cream together. I guess the manager over heard and was angered by the cashiers mistake. She walked toward her and said Throw those in the trash ! I mean had paid full price for one of them and .99 for the other. So, the cashier gave us one of them and refunded our .99 cents for the other one and threw it away.

Listen i know this shouldn't be compared to McDonald's but how can one not? It's not just about how slow the service is, but the feel of quality... Whether its staff reaching under the counter to hand you a spoon to watching the workers slowly put together an order with the food sitting open as every worker walks past.

I love DQ as a chain, and this one happens to be closest to my house. Is it kind of a disaster, yep. Will it take a while to get your food, and will your ice cream be melted? Also, yes. If you want something more organized, might be worth it to go across town to the other location. This location needs a lot of help.
