Kaliki's Hawaiian Shave Ice

My daughter, who is a vegetarian, really enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream she ordered at this restaurant. We have visited before, and she loved the shave ice while I enjoyed the dole whip during our last visit. However, today I decided to try the non-dairy strawberry bubble tea, and unfortunately, it was a disappointment. I would rate it a 2 out of 5. The drink was a fluorescent red color with no real fruit pieces in it, just a powdery flavor that was overly sweet and artificial tasting. It didn't resemble strawberry at all. The bubble tea was frozen and slushy, which I didn't expect, and the tapioca bobas were almost hard inside. I'm not sure if this is typical of slushy-style bubble tea, but I didn't find it enjoyable. I drank some in the car out of thirst, but threw the rest away once I got home. If you're looking for ice cream, shave ice, or dole whip, this place is great with friendly staff and plenty of choices. Just be cautious of the bubble tea. LOL! (Review updated on 2023-07-13)

When we arrived at the restaurant, there was only one girl working and the line was quite long. However, she continued to work diligently with a smile, greeting every customer. The wait was definitely worth it!
