Zen Garden Chinese Resturant

Quite a big space with lots of demarcations, enough parking too however you might get someone blocking you but it’s okay. Also I feel like a big sign board outside will suffice like the other restaurants and stores on that road. Very welcoming staff, they’ve got lots of hands on deck so things were quite prompt. I enjoyed the meal, good quantity and quality too, they were very generous with the proteins. Typical of most Chinese restaurants anyway. You also get the warm towels to clean your hands before meal. The owners kept going round to oversee things, I particularly loved that. Removed a star cuz I didn’t enjoy the cocktails, could be better. Spent a total of 60k for 3 persons plus drinks not bad to me.

Zen Garden is one of my favourite restaurants on the mainland. The food is amazing and portions are quite generous. The ambience is really nice. The staff are nice and friendly. Food also doesn’t take a lot of time to get ready.

This restaurant is quite always busy and reasonably so. Very spacious inside, service is top, and food is overall good as well. Also, we appreciated what we were looking for wasnt on the menu but the chef created on the spot what was so much better than how we expected it. Good for group dining, dates and all. Perhaps the best in Ikeja and I find it even better than any Chinese restaurant in the Island except the Soho. Tantan mian that was specially made upon request so good, as well as the fried rib and fried rice. Dessert turned out to be surprisingly nice as well: ice-cream with lychee, brown bread and fried Sesame redbean cake. The pork in the sweet and sour sauce was so gummy that we couldn't enjoy it although the sauce was good. Mapa tofu had quite unpleasant taste to it with noticeably strong pork smell. Chicken and shirimp dumpling was quite blend and floury. The shrimp in chili sauce and wonton soup was ok. (Pictures taken with Samsung Galaxy Flip3)

Zen Garden on Isaac John, Ikeja satiated my yarn for Chinese food although I didn’t get to use the revolving glass table which were only available for more than 2 dinners Other than the sitting arrangements and that appetizers are not complementary , I enjoyed the food by now I have established that I’m a food-monger

Funny joke my friend said the outside view looks like a strip club.. trust me the interior design is amazing.. Good place for your first date. And their service is top notch.. first u would be given a warm towel to clean your hands and after eating a sweet for good breath.. mind you their food is a bit pricey.
