Barranco Cocina Peruana - Lafayette

We enjoyed Barranco since they opened and ordered a lot of takeout and delivery from here through the pandemic. We have a hard time to get our favorites from the menu, so we often find ourselves ordering something else every time we show up. However, we usually place an order (or two) for their Yucca frits. You also have some of the best Calamari in Lafayette!

Great service with outdoor seating. Order the Lomo Saltado. It was a bit salty for me, but I'm sensitive to salt and migraine. My friends enjoyed the fish and short ribs. He's typical of the area. Pet friendly.

I have to say the staff is amazing. Especially our waitress Inwiah I knew her name Ahe was just perfect with her knowledge about the menu-drink options and their entire customer service. Food was really good.

It's been a long time since we had great Peruvian food. It was also a great experience. I definitely recommend this place.

One of my favorite spots in the Bay Area. The cebiche is great! Always say yes to the home made chips for the cebiche. There?s a few restaurants in this chain that I can review separately. The drinks are cold and nice. There?s a lot of creativity with the starters, my personal favorite is: langostino crocantes? for the mains, we have tried almost all of them so far, and top scores for everything. The shining star is the Lomo Soltado obviously. But don?t shy away from the Pescado a lo Macho! The service can be better but at least everyone is friendly and polite. The live music on weekends is something to look forward to.
